Beatmania iidx ps2 controller11/5/2022 The PHOENIXWAN comes in a strong dedicated box, which holds it snug and secure during the shipping process. If you’re in the market for a new home controller for your favorite beatmania IIDX setup, you might want to read on a see how this controller stacks up to the competition. Lucky for us, we managed to get our very own pair of review models so we could test them out and provide all the details everyone’s looking for. But now, 6 years later, after 2 years of dedicated development, and over a decade of research and improvements, GAMO2 has finally unveiled their flagship controller, the “PHOENIXWAN” (Phoenix-One). At the time, it was a new and different controller. In 2012, a small group named “GAMO2” joined DJ DAO under the Skystar Company and produced their first controller, the “C33”. With plenty of competition in the past few years, of course it was time for a step towards the future. Since then, quite a lot has changed in the BEMANI world. Their first controller, the “FP7” for beatmania IIDX, was released in 2006. That's not how capitalism works.“DJ DAO” controllers have always been the most popular option for home-based BEMANI setups, whether that be on PlayStation2 or PC. IIDX has one of the smallest playerbases among arcade rhythm games but time after time enjoys some of the highest revenue in the business and Konami is not about to kill a sustainable model just because you think shit's too expensive. Konami understands that, again, $1K/year playcounts are basically the norm at a certain point. None of them can replace IIDX, and I will pay a premium for the privilege of having the real deal. DJMAX Respect V, EZ2ON REBOOT: R, Muse Dash, all great games! I play the shit out of them!īut none of them are IIDX. #Beatmania iidx ps2 controller Pc#there's plenty of great PC rhythm games out in the market right now. in my mind the controls and the strict frame-based timing system is fundamental to the core of what iidx is, the most minute details do matter.Īnd i'll end with this. it's an undebatable truth that cs offerings that are "close enough", or god forbid, "arcade perfect" kill arcade revenues dead in the water and I WANT arcades to stay alive in Japan! so having to sit back with more or less 2-3 year old content and featuresets seems like a good enough compromise.Īnd geez, compare that to ultimate mobile which is such a pale imitation of iidx it might as well not be iidx. Look the reality is that arcade operators represent the main market for Konami Amusement, they answer to them. #Beatmania iidx ps2 controller cracked#how you gonna beat free? you need a fucking phd to get cracked arcade data working these days but people will still put up with it and say infinitas is a scam. It's hard to award "value" to anything when most people are gonna just pirate. Also interested in third party adapters should this fall off Gamo2’s agenda, though my general non-rhythm-game experience with those has not been great. Still bummed I can’t immediately use it as I intended. I’ve only played the PS2 versions of this game so I was planning on using this opportunity to try out infinitas. They estimated that the PS2 adapter would be available “Mid January 2022”. I’ve got a decent CRT setup in my gaming room and was surprised to hear that this wouldn’t work out of the box when I saw the twitter post on Christmas (a couple weeks after I clicked “order” on their website which had no indication that there would be no Ps2 support…).Īnyway, I emailed Gamo2 support who explained the twitter announcement was a little belated and all PWAN orders fulfilled from mid November onwards would be the new PCB model. I’m in the same boat as you, though I ordered mine in mid December and it is currently out for delivery today.
